Making Your Way Up - Featured on TV5 Monde

At Nine Sixteen Stories, we specialize in helping businesses and individuals tell their stories through high-quality video content. Recently, we had the opportunity to work with Sayaspora, a company that aims to help amplify the voices of young women from the African Diaspora.

Sayaspora was recently featured on the international platform TV5 Monde, a French-language television network that reaches over 400 million homes around the world. The feature highlighted the videos that we produced for Sayaspora, showcasing the impact of storytelling through video.

At Nine Sixteen Stories, we understand the importance of creating visually stunning and engaging content that connects with an audience. That's why we worked closely with Sayaspora on a series of videos for their initiative, Make Your Way Up.

Make Your Way Up is a platform funded by Canadian Heritage, that runs from September 2, 2021 to March 31, 2023, and addresses the barriers to employment and career mobility faced by marginalized and systematically underrepresented young women aged 18-30 in the African diaspora (including communities in the Maghreb, Sub-Saharan Africa, Southern and Eastern Africa and the Caribbean).

The project proposes a two-pronged response, offering tools to negotiate entry into key employment sectors while developing an awareness campaign to help employers and the public better understand the various issues arising from systematic racism and how it operates in the workplace.

The videos we created for Make Your Way Up were designed to showcase the benefits of the platform and to encourage people to sign up. We worked with Sayaspora to plan, shoot and edit videos that would effectively communicate their message and appeal to their target audience.

This project is just one example of the impact that a well-produced video can have. By telling a compelling story and creating visually stunning content, we were able to help Sayaspora reach a global audience and effectively communicate their message.
